Terms & Conditions Policy

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services, repairs, diagnostics, onsite support, remote support, software work, parts, accessories, third-party products, and related services supplied by Geld Technologies.

By submitting a device, approving a quotation, purchasing a product, or accepting any service from Geld Technologies, the customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers must provide accurate information about the device, fault, previous repair history, liquid damage, drop damage, passwords, accessories, chargers, and any relevant usage history.

Customers are responsible for removing confidential, sensitive, or unnecessary personal data before service where possible.

Customers must ensure that any software, operating system, account, licence, or data provided to Geld Technologies is lawful and authorised for use.

Diagnostics and Inspection

All devices, parts, and products may be inspected and tested before repair, warranty claim, refund approval, or service acceptance.

Diagnostic findings are based on the condition of the device during inspection. Intermittent faults, hidden faults, liquid damage, corrosion, or board-level damage may change after further testing.

Diagnostic, inspection, pickup, delivery, and onsite charges may apply whether or not the customer proceeds with the repair or service.

Quotation, Estimate, and Approval

A quotation or estimate may be provided after inspection, subject to part availability, supplier pricing, device condition, and fault complexity.

Work will normally proceed only after customer approval, unless the customer has given prior authorisation for urgent work, standard service work, or a repair budget range.

Quotations may change if additional faults, hidden damage, incompatible parts, liquid damage, previous repair damage, or supplier price changes are discovered.

Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for 7 days and may be revised after that period.

Parts, Products, and Availability

Replacement parts may be original, OEM, compatible, refurbished, used, supplier-equivalent, or special-order parts depending on availability, price, and customer approval.

Geld Technologies may use third-party suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, or service partners to obtain parts or process warranty claims.

Part availability, delivery dates, colour, cosmetic condition, exact model revision, and supplier lead time are not guaranteed unless specifically stated in writing.

Customer-supplied parts are installed at the customer’s risk and are covered by workmanship only unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Repair and Service Limitations

Repairs are carried out based on the approved service scope and the fault confirmed during inspection.

A successful repair does not guarantee that unrelated parts, old components, worn components, batteries, storage devices, software, or future faults will not fail later.

Devices with liquid damage, corrosion, burnt components, prior tampering, missing pads, damaged traces, or multiple unstable faults may carry higher repair risk and may have limited or no warranty.

Estimated completion times are provided as a guide only and may change due to part availability, supplier delays, technical complexity, testing requirements, or customer response time.

Data Backup and Data Loss

Customers are responsible for backing up data before submitting any device, storage device, laptop, desktop, phone, tablet, NAS, server, or component for service.

Data loss may occur during diagnostics, repair, software work, operating system installation, storage replacement, motherboard repair, or data recovery attempt.

Geld Technologies shall not be responsible for data loss, data corruption, missing files, software licence loss, business interruption, or loss of income unless a separate written data backup or data recovery service has been agreed and charged.

Payment Terms

Full payment may be required before the device, product, part, or service result is released to the customer.

Deposits may be required for special-order parts, product reservations, urgent jobs, high-value parts, onsite bookings, data recovery work, or large repair jobs.

Unpaid devices, products, or parts may be held until payment is completed, subject to applicable law.

Prices stated may exclude additional parts, accessories, courier, onsite, delivery, software, configuration, data transfer, or additional repair work unless specifically included in the quotation.

Collection, Storage, and Uncollected Devices

Customers should collect their device, product, or part within the advised collection period after being notified that it is ready.

Geld Technologies may charge storage or handling fees for devices, products, or parts left uncollected for an extended period after notification.

Devices, products, or parts left uncollected for more than 90 days may be handled according to applicable law after reasonable notice has been given to the customer.

Warranty, Cancellation, and Refunds

Warranty coverage depends on the specific service, part, product, invoice, quotation, job sheet, and applicable warranty terms issued by Geld Technologies.

Warranty applies only to the specific part, component, service, or repair area stated in the invoice, and does not automatically cover unrelated faults or the entire device.

Cancellation and refund requests are handled according to the applicable Geld Technologies Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Third-party products are subject to the relevant manufacturer, distributor, or supplier warranty terms unless otherwise stated in writing.

Onsite and Remote Support

Onsite and remote support may be charged based on time, distance, complexity, urgency, service scope, and materials used.

For network, server, NAS, CCTV, software, and business IT support, configuration changes may depend on customer access, third-party provider availability, internet service provider response, and existing infrastructure condition.

Geld Technologies is not responsible for faults caused by third-party service providers, internet service providers, cloud platforms, software vendors, user changes, or external infrastructure outside the agreed service scope.

Photos, Videos, and Documentation

Geld Technologies may take photos or videos of devices, parts, faults, serial numbers, repair progress, and test results for internal documentation, warranty, quality control, and customer update purposes.

Customer-identifying information should not be used for public marketing without consent or reasonable anonymisation.

Limitation of Liability

Geld Technologies will take reasonable care when handling customer devices, products, and data storage devices.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Geld Technologies shall not be responsible for indirect loss, loss of business, loss of profit, loss of data, loss of opportunity, downtime, or consequential loss arising from any service, repair, product, delay, or warranty claim.

Where liability cannot be excluded, Geld Technologies’ liability is limited to the service, part, or product supplied, subject to applicable law.

Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit or exclude any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable Malaysian law.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Introduction

This policy applies to services, repairs, diagnostics, onsite support, software work, parts, accessories, special-order items, third-party products, and other products or services supplied by Geld Technologies.

All cancellation and refund requests are subject to inspection, verification, and approval by Geld Technologies.

This policy does not automatically replace any separate written agreement, quotation, invoice term, supplier term, manufacturer warranty term, or statutory right that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

2. Cancellation Before Work Starts

Customers may request cancellation before diagnostics, repair work, software work, onsite work, ordering of parts, or product preparation has started.

If no work has started and no cost has been incurred, Geld Technologies may approve a full or partial refund of payments made.

Any applicable diagnostic fee, inspection fee, pickup or delivery fee, payment gateway fee, administrative fee, or other cost already incurred may be deducted from the refund.

3. Cancellation After Work Has Started

Once diagnostics, repair work, software work, onsite work, installation, setup, or product preparation has started, cancellation is subject to the work already performed and costs already incurred.

Labour charges, diagnostic charges, opened parts, used parts, installed parts, consumables, courier charges, supplier charges, and administrative costs may be non-refundable.

If the customer cancels after work has started, Geld Technologies may issue a revised invoice for work completed, parts used, and costs incurred before releasing the device or product.

4. Special-Order Parts and Custom Orders

Special-order parts, pre-ordered items, custom-sourced parts, non-stock parts, and items ordered specifically for a customer are generally not cancellable once ordered.

If a supplier accepts cancellation or return, any supplier restocking fee, courier fee, handling fee, exchange-rate difference, or administrative cost may be deducted from the refund.

Parts that have been opened, installed, tested, modified, programmed, paired, or used may not be refundable unless the issue is covered by supplier or manufacturer warranty.

5. Completed Services and Repairs

Once a repair, service, installation, setup, software work, or onsite job has been completed, service fees are generally non-refundable.

If the same covered issue occurs within the applicable warranty period, Geld Technologies may inspect, rework, repair, or replace the affected part or repair area under the relevant warranty terms.

Refunds are not provided for customer change of mind after a service has been completed, unless specifically approved in writing by Geld Technologies.

6. Product Sales, Parts, and Accessories

Refund or exchange requests for products, parts, and accessories are subject to inspection and approval by Geld Technologies.

Products must be returned in complete condition with the original invoice, packaging, accessories, warranty card, serial number labels, and bundled items where applicable.

Opened, used, installed, damaged, incomplete, modified, activated, registered, or customer-damaged products may not be eligible for refund or exchange.

Defective third-party products may be handled under the manufacturer, distributor, or supplier warranty process instead of direct refund, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Deposits and Booking Fees

Deposits may be non-refundable if the customer cancels after parts have been ordered, work has started, stock has been reserved, or a technician has been assigned.

If Geld Technologies is unable to supply the part or service after accepting a deposit, Geld Technologies may offer an alternative, reschedule, provide store credit, or refund the affected amount where appropriate.

8. Data Recovery, Software, and Operating System Work

Diagnostic, attempt, inspection, labour, data recovery, and software service fees are generally non-refundable once work has started.

Data recovery results, software compatibility, activation, account, password, driver, and licensing outcomes are not guaranteed unless specifically stated in writing.

9. Refund Method and Processing

Approved refunds will normally be processed through the original payment method or another agreed method.

Refund processing time depends on the payment method, bank, payment gateway, supplier, and administrative processing.

Payment gateway, bank, transfer, courier, supplier, and administrative charges may be deducted where applicable.

10. Non-Refundable Items and Charges

Completed labour, diagnostics, inspection, consultation, onsite support, pickup, delivery, courier, transport, and administrative charges.

Opened, installed, used, programmed, paired, activated, custom-sourced, special-order, or customer- damaged parts and products.

Software, operating system, malware removal, data transfer, data recovery attempt, account setup, configuration, and licensing work already performed.

11. Cancellation and Refund Request Process

Customers must contact Geld Technologies and provide the invoice, receipt, quotation number, job number, or proof of purchase.

The device, product, or part must be returned for inspection where required.

Geld Technologies will review the request based on job status, product condition, service performed, parts ordered, supplier policy, and applicable warranty terms.

12. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Cancellation & Refund Policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable Malaysian law.

Shipping Policy

1. Shipping Coverage

Geld Technologies currently ships to all states within Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak). We do not currently ship internationally. For cross-border or special arrangements, please contact us directly.

2. Shipping Methods and Carriers

We partner with reputable third-party courier services including but not limited to:

Pos Malaysia

J&T Express

DHL Express (for high-value items)

Ninja Van

The choice of carrier may vary depending on the delivery address, parcel size, and declared value of the item. We reserve the right to select the most appropriate carrier for each shipment.

3. Estimated Delivery Times

Estimated delivery timeframes from the date of dispatch are as follows:

Delivery times are estimates only and are subject to courier performance, public holidays, and unforeseen events. Geld Technologies is not responsible for delays caused by the courier provider.

4. Shipping Costs

Shipping fees are calculated based on the volumetric weight and physical dimensions, and destination of the parcel. The applicable shipping fee will be communicated to the Customer at the time of purchase or dispatch confirmation. Geld Technologies may offer free shipping promotions from time to time, subject to minimum order values or campaign terms.

For return shipments due to defective or incorrectly supplied products, return shipping costs will be borne by Geld Technologies. For all other return scenarios, the Customer bears the return shipping cost.

5. Dispatch Schedule

Orders and serviced devices are dispatched on business days (Monday to Friday, excluding Malaysian public holidays).

Orders confirmed or service completions notified before 2:00 PM will be dispatched the same business day, where possible.

Orders received after 2:00 PM will be dispatched on the following business day.

6. Order Tracking

Upon dispatch, Customers will be provided with a tracking number and the name of the courier used. Customers may use this

tracking number on the respective courier’s website or app to monitor shipment status. Geld Technologies will provide

tracking information via email or WhatsApp.

7. Packaging

All items are packaged with reasonable care to prevent damage during transit. Fragile items such as repaired laptops, hard

drives, and optical media are packed with appropriate protective materials. Geld Technologies is not liable for damage arising

from mishandling by the courier after dispatch.

8. Damaged or Lost Parcels

8.1 Damaged Upon Arrival

If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, Customers should:

Photograph the damaged packaging and contents immediately upon receipt.

Notify Geld Technologies within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery.

Retain all original packaging for inspection by the courier or insurance assessor.

We will assist in filing a claim with the courier. Geld Technologies will offer a replacement or refund upon confirmation of a successful courier claim.

8.2 Lost Parcels

In the event a parcel is not delivered within five (5) business days of the estimated delivery date, Customers should notify us promptly. We will initiate a trace with the courier. If the parcel is confirmed lost, Geld Technologies will arrange a replacement or refund subject to the courier’s liability policy.

9. Incorrect or Incomplete Address

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address at the time of purchase. Geld Technologies is not liable for failed deliveries resulting from an incorrect address provided by the Customer. Re-delivery or reshipping costs arising from address errors will be borne by the Customer.
